Keep Your Pet will continue to support the health and welfare of vulnerable people in York through this crisis with the help of our amazing volunteers. We will be offering our full range of services, but with some non – essential service suspension and changes to how we deliver support in order to comply with Government guidance and instructions. To ensure everyone’s safety, these changes will be tailored to the service required and the individual circumstances of the volunteer and pet owner. All current service users have been contacted with any changes that affect their own service and to find out if any other support needs to be arranged. All enquiries for a new service or urgent requirement should be made to Keep Your Pet on 01904 866070.
Keep Your Pet Virtual Dog Walk 3rd to 10th May (see menu link at the top of the page)
Due to concern for our volunteers and supporters in the light of the Covid 19 pandemic it is with great regret that we are postponing our annual dog walk, due to be held on May 3rd at the Knavesmire. At present we are hoping that we can rearrange this for September.
Whilst receiving a majority of its funds from Age UK York, Keep Your Pet cannot function at the current level without donations and fundraising events. The dog walk is the most important of these as well as the opportunity for us to meet with so many supporters. The pandemic has led to the cancellation or postponement of most of our other fundraising events this summer as they all involve getting people together.

If you wish to Gift Aid your donation cheques should be made payable to Age UK York and you should include an address for a gift aid form to be sent to you. If you are not a taxpayer or do not want to Gift Aid the donation cheques can be made out to Keep Your Pet.

We are a charity that is run by volunteers. If you want to help please contact us. We particular need people to foster animals, usually dogs. If you've thought of having a dog why not become a fosterer?
